Available on November 1, 2008, Nike Golf is bringing hybrids and irons together and modifying four key areas of club head design to optimize performance. In the hybrids of the Slingshot HL Mixed Set, the areas of modification include the slingback design; low and deep profile; keel sole; and increased offset. The irons of the new Slingshot HL Mixed Set have modified the slingback design; variable sole width; progressive offset; and club head profile.
As in Nike Golf's previous Slingshot iron introductions, both the hybrids and irons that make up the new Slingshot HL Mixed Set feature Nike's distinctive Slingback design. In the men's and women's hybrids (#3, #4, #5), the Slingback bar positions the weight further back increasing the Moment of Inertia (MOI) and providing stability. In the men's irons (#6 - PW), the Slingback design is positioned strategically in each club to achieve the desired ball flight. In the women's hybrid/iron set, the Slingshot HL utilizes an ultralight shaft from UST and a Nike proprietary Winn grip for the ultimate in comfort and vibration absorption.

Available in stores nationwide starting on SUMO Saturday, February 2, 2008, the SQ SUMO² Fairway Wood incorporates three innovative Nike Golf technologies that help generate straight shots out of any lie –- Nike's signature PowerBow Weighting; Monorail Sole; and a Hot Cryo Steel Face. These three ingredients, combined with a high Moment of Inertia (MOI) and updated body shaping, result in a square-shaped fairway wood that is forgiving, maximizes distance and helps golfers get the ball off the ground. All of these add up to providing golfers with a renewed confidence in their fairway wood performance.
Nike's PowerBow Weighting manages weight in the club head to further maximize precision and performance. The Monorail Sole is an innovative design that makes it easier to hit from all types of lies. The SQ SUMO² Fairway Wood also has a lightweight Cryo Steel material that provides a large, responsive sweet spot for maximum distance and increased forgiveness across the clubface.
"Geometry is king," said Tom Stites, Nike Golf's Director of Product Creation for Clubs. "The principle of geometry provides our research and development team with unlimited possibilities and inspiration, and the new SUMO² Fairway Wood is a derivative of that."

Tiger Woods, the number one player in the world, will put the new Nike Golf technology to test this week at the Target World Challenge by playing with the Nike ONE Platinum ball.
"With the new power transfer layer, you do hit the ball a little further. It compresses better," said Tiger Woods. "The thing that I like about it is that you do hit the ball further but you don't give up the workability of the golf ball. You can still curve it. You can still change trajectories just as easy as before. The only difference is that now you're hitting it further, which is the beauty of it. You can still have the control you had before but with more distance."
The new Nike Power Transfer Layer technology, with its thick advanced polymer located inside the mantle layer, increases ball speed and generates power and energy to ensure enhanced distance for a wider range of clubs in the bag. Both the Nike ONE Platinum and Nike ONE Black feature the Power Transfer Technology.
The Nike ONE Platinum has been reengineered for longer distance, enhanced control and workability. Its progressive density core provides a superior feel and longer distance. An optimized inner cover enhances mid-iron control and workability. The Nike ONE Platinum has a newly designed 378 dimple pattern with redesigned aerodynamics for added carry and longer distance. Combined with the new Power Transfer Technology and the multi-component construction and softened urethane cover, Nike ONE Platinum redefines total performance.
The Nike ONE Black has been reengineered to maximize distance, improve accuracy and greenside response. Its progressive density core offers enhanced feel and reduced spin for longer, more accurate distance off the tee. For exceptional flight consistency and responsiveness with all clubs, the Nike ONE Black has a seamless urethane cover. The Nike ONE Black has a high coverage of 336 dimple pattern that optimizes aerodynamics and reduces drag for a more penetrating flight.
Emblematic of the Power Transfer Layer Technology that is red inside the mantle layer, is the red ring that Nike Golf Athletes will be wearing on the side of their hats.
The Nike ONE Platinum and Nike ONE Black will be available in stores on February 1, 2008 for a suggested retail price of $56.00.
BEAVERTON, Ore. (December 3, 2007) - Nike Golf, the first to initiate the rapid rise of Moment of Inertia (MOI) through the power of science and geometry, continues on the revolutionary geometric path it has pioneered with the introduction of two new drivers -- the Nike SQ SUMO² (square) 5900 and the SQ SUMO 5000. Both new drivers will be available on what Nike Golf has designated as SUMO Saturday (February 2, 2008).
The most recent additions to the comprehensive Nike SUMO family, the SQ SUMO² 5900 and SQ SUMO 5000 are Nike Golf's second generation of SUMO drivers. Each follow in the footsteps of the original SQ SUMO² and SQ SUMO, launched in 2007.
"Tom Stites and his research and development team have taken the successes from Nike Golf's original SUMO² and SUMO drivers and made them even better," said Stan Grissinger, Category Business Director for Club and Balls for Nike Golf. "They are scientists at work, the results of which have led Nike Golf to lead the PGA Tour in driver wins for two consecutive years."
The SUMO² 5900 features a square-shaped head, a deeper face, a convex crown, and redefined body shape to increase ball speed and accuracy. With the MOI at the maximum allowed of 5900, the SUMO² 5900 offers greater forgiveness on off-center hits with a tighter shot dispersion. This result is the straightest, longest and most accurate driver Nike Golf has ever made. Featuring Nike's Powerbow weighting, the weight in the SUMO² 5900 is repositioned to the farthest corners of the Nike PowerBow design, optimizing head stability and delivering ultimate accuracy. The SUMO² 5900 has a multi-thickness face, which maximizes faster ball speeds from every point on the face.
The SUMO 5000 is a more traditionally round-shaped driver with a deep-face profile. This gives golfers the freedom to shape the ball or hit it long and straight. The PowerBow design strategically positions weight in the club head to optimize the center of gravity location.
The SQ SUMO² 5900 and the SQ SUMO 5000 are both 460cc, feature
SasQuatch/Diamana shafts, and are available in 8.5?, 9.5?, 10.5?, 11.5?, 13? and 16?. The SQ SUMO 5000 also is available in a 13?offset. The SQ
SUMO² 5900 will carry a suggested retail price of $499.99.
The SQ SUMO 5000 will carry a suggested retail price of $360.00.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (September 12, 2007) - Nike Golf, the pioneer in developing innovative equipment through the power of geometry, is applying the same geometric science to its new game improvement irons, the Nike SQ (SasQuatch) SUMO irons. Designed using the same ground-breaking technology behind the SUper MOment (SUMO) of Inertia that has helped propel the company into becoming a significant leader in the club market, these exciting new irons are an important extension to Nike Golf's successful SQ SUMO family of drivers, the SUMO and the SUMO".
As in all SQ SUMO products, it begins with geometry. Nike Golf's trademark PowerBow weighting creates a high moment of inertia (MOI) by repositioning weight low and deep to enhance stability. The MOI in the SQ SUMO irons is the science behind straight and long - producing higher, longer, straighter and softer landing shots. The SQ SUMO irons, which are packed with forgiveness, feature a long blade length and wide sole.
"We have taken the premise of geometry that we started with in the original Nike SQ driver and are evolving it across our club line,"
said Tom Stites, Director of Club Creation for Nike Golf. "With this new geometry and its high MOI, we have created what we believe is the most forgiving iron Nike Golf has ever developed."
A responsive ultra thin Cryo Steel face plate (Irons #4 - 7) is welded around the perimeter of the clubhead to increase the coefficient of restitution (COR) across the face for greater distance, further amplifying the forgiveness across the hitting surface.
By nature, a thin-face, extreme perimeter weighted golf club head has the potential to create a harsh feel. For this very reason, the SQ SUMO irons include a TPU polymer insert to prevent unwanted vibrations at impact for an improved feel
