Srixon Introduces New WG-706 Wedges
High Performance Wedges Feature Tour Design and Profile
![]() |
The engraved U-Grooves of the WG-706 feature a sidewall angle that has been reduced by 75% over its predecessor, increasing the total groove volume and further allowing the dirt, grass and moisture to channel away from the clubface. In addition, the WG-706 wedges have the friction generating, face press milling treatment, which promotes tremendous control out of almost any lie.
The soft 1020 carbon steel allows for the ultimate feel that is necessary to hit delicate shots around the green. In addition, the heel bounce has been reduced and the trailing edge trimmed back to make the WG-706 easy to lay open and play touch shots with spin.
"The WG-706 wedges feature the shape, profile and classic look preferred by better players and serious golfers," noted Richard Stamper, Srixon's President. "Beyond the aesthetics, the performance we've designed into these clubs make them scoring weapons that have already been proven at golf's highest level. Several of our tour players including Jim Furyk - who is renowned for having one of the greatest short games on tour - have provided input into the design, shape and performance.
Srixon's WG-706 wedges come in seven different lofts and bounce options, allowing every golfer to find their ideal scoring club. WG-706 wedges, August, 2007, will be sold in golf shops and golf specialty stores for a suggested retail price of $169 per wedge.

Srixon Introduces New AD333 Golf Ball Now Faster and Longer with Same Great Feel and Playability
"We have made the new AD333 a better ball for the everyday golfer by reengineering the cover and core and applying new aerodynamics resulting in optimal performance," said Richard Stamper, Srixon's President. "Srixon's new Pana-Tetra® blended cover combined with a highly resilient, soft Energetic Gradient Growth core and a new 333 dimple pattern will provide greater distance for all golfers through improved ball speed and optimized launch conditions," added Stamper. The two-piece AD333 golf ball is designed for golfers of all ability levels and is one of Srixon's best selling golf balls. Golfers will now enjoy greater performance benefits with the new AD333 golf ball. Core: The new, highly resilient, soft Energetic Gradient Growth core provides faster ball speed than its predecessor with the same optimal high launch angle and low spin launch conditions. The core's soft compression also allows golfers with average to moderate swing speeds the ability to maximize their distance potential. Cover: The new, proprietary Pana-Tetra® blended cover provides a higher launch angle plus reduces driver spin while maintaining the softness of the cover. This results in increased driver distance without sacrificing greenside spin and playability. Aerodynamics: The new 333 aerodynamics features six different dimple sizes with larger dimple diameters and greater dimple surface coverage. This helps reduce distance by robbing high-speed drag and promoting a shallow angle of descent for greater carry and roll. The new AD333 will be available in golf shops and golf specialty stores in early September for a suggested retail price of $29 per dozen. |
