(Aug. 15, 2016) - For the first time in its history, Mizuno has released a three-tier family of irons under the JPX name, ensuring that golfers of all skill levels are able to put in play the same technology the world's best players rely on. The new JPX900 family of clubs continues the company's pursuit of excellence, embracing a stylish design philosophy that embraces speed, futurity and innovation.

The new family offers a strong connection across all skill levels, enabling casual golfers to put in play the same clubs the professionals use. The JPX900 Tour, JPX900 Forged and JPX900 Hot Metal offer golfers the opportunity to find the right set of clubs to suit their games. Believing that details matter, Mizuno put its emphasis on the most minute of details to craft a line of clubs that is unmatched in playability and performance. Each iron series utilizes a different metal composition, marrying it with the best technology on the market to deliver distance, control and forgiveness.

"The JPX900 family of irons represents an exciting new chapter in Mizuno's rich history," said Ryan Ellis, Associate Brand Manager¬ - Golf. "We have always been committed to improving what we do each year, striving for the next breakthrough. The JPX900 family enables each player to find the best clubs to fit their style of play, from the weekend golfer to the grind-it-out gamer who squeezes nine holes in after work. By combining cutting-edge technology with our unyielding desire to produce the best clubs in the industry, we have assembled a complete family of clubs that will connect with players of any skill level."

The JPX900 Tour meshes the best attributes of Mizuno's grain flow forged player's irons with advanced weighting techniques and the clean styling of the JPX series. The 900 Tour boasts 1025E mild carbon steel, a professionally proven forging material that delivers a soft, solid and consistent feel and was used to craft the successful MP iron series. The power frame design pushes more mass to the corners of the clubhead, to help maintain ball speed on off-center hits, allowing this iron to play surprisingly forgiving.

The JPX900 Forged is built on the foundation of the JPX850 Forged, using Boron steel that enhances feel and boosts distance. Infusing Boron during the forging process creates material that is 30 percent stronger than existing 1025 steel, allowing Mizuno to create a new multi-thickness face and making the JPX900 Forged the thinnest forged face Mizuno has ever made. A reshaped pocket cavity helps to expand the sweet spot of the club, orienting it for higher ball speeds across the club face.

The JPX900 Hot Metal boasts the thinnest club face in Mizuno history. Utilizing Chromoly 4140M, the series was designed like a metal wood, adding thickness by using offset geometry and employing discretionary weight to optimize performance. The cup face design delivers a larger COR area, and mass is pushed to the extreme corners of the club to offer unmatched stability and forgiveness.

All members of the JPX900 family are customizable through Mizuno's Performance Fitting System (PFS), which utilizes proprietary technology of the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer to pinpoint club specs for peak performance. An assortment of high-end, professionally proven shafts - such as Dynamic Gold AMT and Project X LZ, Modus 105 - are available as standard for various clubs.

Mizuno's New MP-5 Refines The Iconic Player's Iron

Player iron with muscle-back feel and player's cavity forgiveness

Norcross, Georgia (Sept. 17, 2015) - Mizuno, a leader in iron technology and design, introduces the latest "player" iron, the MP-5, to its award-winning line. The MP-5 delivers the feel of a muscle-back with the forgiveness of a player's cavity to provide golfers unparalleled long-iron forgiveness and enhanced control in the scoring irons.

Mizuno's stable of PGA Tour and European Tour players, including Luke Donald, Charles Howell III and Chris Wood, worked with Mizuno golf engineers throughout the R&D process to provide feedback and help shape the ideal players iron. The channel back flow design offers players predictable and reliable ball flight control, which is crucial for shot making. The MP-5s offer feel and precision using high-quality 1025E Pure Select steel and Mizuno's patented Grain Flow Forging process coupled with H.I.T. (Harmonic Impact Technology).

"Interaction and feedback from our Tour players during the research and development process of the MP irons is crucial and the MP-5's easily passed the test and seamlessly integrated into their bags," said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development, Golf Division, Mizuno USA. "The cutting-edge design of the channel back in the MP-5 are true to Mizuno performance heritage and will make the MP-5s a must-have for the low-handicap golfers."

Norcross, Ga. (Aug. 13, 2014) - Mizuno, a world-class leader in iron technology, design and development, has entered a new era of innovation with the release of the JPX-850 Forged irons, the first-ever iron to implement "Boron" into the forging process. Boron, a chemical element with atomic number five, commonly found in Earth's crust and throughout the Solar System, establishes an entirely new standard for distance, forgiveness and feel in a Mizuno forged iron.

This exciting material innovation simply reinforces Mizuno's long-standing reputation of superior design, feel and performance in its irons. With JPX-850 Forged, the company continues to pave the way for innovation, manufacturing and performance technologies, unwilling to cut corners or compromise quality for the sake of better margins.

"The addition of Boron to our 1025 carbon steel in our patented Grain-Flow Forging process enabled us to stretch the limits of design within the iron to bring to market one of the longest and most forgiving forged irons ever, without sacrificing the Mizuno trademarks of look and feel," said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development, Golf Division, Mizuno USA. "We held true to our history of quality and performance, while leveraging the benefits of Boron in JPX-850 Forged to deliver an iron that will stand above any other forged iron on the market."

The golf industry has seen Boron used as a decorative element to create an effective "finished" look. With JPX-850 Forged, Mizuno is capitalizing on Boron's superior performance benefits to give the new irons 30 percent greater strength. By infusing Boron, Mizuno was able to design a much thinner face in the JPX-850 Forged then standard metals to provide an industry leading COR and "sweet area" to allow for an aggressive approach to any golf shot.

Featuring an ultra CNC pocket cavity combined with a Power Frame design, JPX-850 Forged provides golfers the Mizuno feel expected in a forged iron with a large sweet area typically found in game-improvement clubs. In addition to the unparalleled feel and distance of the JPX-850 Forged, Mizuno utilized H.I.T (Harmonic Impact Technology) Power Frame, a vibration management technology, and acoustical badge design to deliver the iconic Mizuno sound and feel players crave at ball impact.

The JPX-850's are designed with a Triple Cut Sole and beveled leading edge allowing for greater versatility and ball workability from difficult lies. The irons are outfitted in Satin Nickel Chrome Plating with electro-form badge giving users an aggressive, sleek look Mizuno is known to produce.

Innovative irons provide players with "game-improvement" length and trajectory with a forged feel
Norcross, Ga. (September 18, 2013) - Mizuno, a leader in golf technology and innovation, today announced the launch of its most innovative and forgiving grain flow forged irons to date, JPX EZ Forged. Pushing the design and aesthetic limits, Mizuno went away from their "classic" look used for decades while improving the feel, forgiveness and performance of an iron that plays like a forged iron, but delivers stats only seen in the game-improvement category.

The JPX EZ Forged irons incorporate an enhanced COR face design for increased distance while Grain Flow Forged 1025E "Pure Select" mild carbon steel provides a superior soft, solid and consistent feel. The EZ Forged irons feature two unique designs to optimize performance for any aspect of iron play. 23 grams of weight was moved to the perimeter of the four-through-seven irons providing maximum MOI while offering optimum forgiveness through the use of an Undercut Forged Cavity that creates an expanded rebound area and largest sweet spot in a one-piece forged iron. They also offer CORTECH Design to optimize COR while providing maximum discretionary weight for added distance and forgiveness. The extreme toe/heel weighted cavity design throughout the set maintains an industry leading MOI and purveys confidence for golfers at address.

"During ideation, development and creation of the JPX EZ Forged iron we knew it would be in a class all by itself, which, in the golf industry, is difficult to claim and something we are extremely proud of," said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA, Inc. "The distance and forgiveness screams game-improvement, but we've been able to channel those characteristics in a grain flow forged iron that'll change the way golfers look, think and feel over the golf ball. We're excited to receive consumer feedback as we believe the new EZ Forged appeals to a wide breadth of golfers."

Mizuno utilized its Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.) to engineer a strong cavity frame that allows for a thinner, more reactive face. This allows the JPX EZ Forged to deliver increased initial ball speed with a solid feel at impact. Black Nickel-plated finish reduces glare and creates a stunning aesthetic look.
