Golf News, Source, Titleist.com.- The new Scotty Cameron Detour provides design elements and visual indicators to help create the proper putting path. It features a unique, arched body and sightline that show the player the shape of the optimum putting stroke. An angle milled body with a high toe complements the design for perfect balance and flowing aesthetics.
The multi-material design and construction of the Detour creates a soft, solid feel with an extremely high moment of inertia. The heavy, front stainless steel weighting bar and rear backweight triangulate weighting at the corners to increase MOI and provide perfect ball performance at impact. Milled pockets lighten the mid-section of the aluminum body for superior stability and deeper CG.

The Detour putter is really awesome. It helps me visually line up the putt so much better than the Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 I own. I thought nothing would surpass the feel of the Newport for me, but this one is doing it big time. I hole out every 3-5ft putt and within 10ft is 90-95% at least. The alignment of this putter is so easy with the t-shape. I'm right-handed and putts straight in or that break right to left are sinking easy. The only problem I have with the putter is the left to right breaking putts. The reason is the curved line. When you take the putter back the curve flows natually for a right to left putt, on the left to right putts it seems a little awkward at first. But, on those left to right breaks, I haven't been on the low side of the cup which is a good thing. It's kept my alignment on the high side of the cup and will give those a chance to go in and probably lowering my scores more. Great putter Scotty!

Wow this putter absolutely crushes anything out there. I have been experimenting with several new putter over the last season. Odyssey 2 ball, Ping g5, Taylor Made Rosi, and the No Compromise. I have owned a Newport 2 for a couple of years now and found that to b outtanding for feel and control. THEN comes the Scotty Detour and WOW. I don't want to sound ridiculous but this putter can't miss. The arc concept really works. I wouldn't doubt if others begin to copy this well designed jewel. The feel is soft but with tons of feedback. It swings with great balance and it is nearly impossibple to push or pull. GET this Puttr and don't look back
